Two: Roswell New Mexico
We stopped at Roswell New Mexico after leaving Alamogordo. Roswell is famous for the 1947 UFO
crash mystery. We visited UFO Museum in Roswell
to understand more about the incident.
The museum is a nonprofit organization located on Main Street
in downtown Roswell.
Parking is free and a nominal fee is paid to get in the museum. Visitors
can watch documentary film, read the testimonies of the witnesses and
look at the photos related to the 1947 UFO crash incident. The alleged
crash site was on a privately owned ranch and it is off limit to the
public. It is interesting to read about the details of the incident. The
museum only presents the facts and it is up to the visitors to interpret
the event.
When we were in Roswell,
we noticed the UFO theme was very obvious. The alien photos, masks and
statues are almost everywhere. We also visited several art museums when
we were in town. Roswell
is a relatively small town with no major attractions nearby so we spent
only one night there.
