I had been
approached by friends and relatives about my job as a full time trader
in the stock market. From their conversations, I have a feeling that
most of them think this is a way to make quick money with home runs
after home runs. I want to clarify this ideology before we begin this
investment column.
Making money in
the stock market is neither hard nor easy, it is just different. We have
to treat it as a business and like other business; it will have good
month and bad month. We have to prepare ourselves for this fact and
adjust accordingly. As a starter, we should invest only with the capital
that we can afford to lose. By doing so, we take the emotion out of our
trading decisions and believe me; it is a big plus as we will see later
on. Before we invest a single dollar in the stock market, we should
invest in ourselves first. We should educate ourselves about trading in
all aspects. The right way to educate ourselves is to learn from
professional investment education company, not just by following what is
presented here in this investment column. This column only serves as an
introduction to option trading and it is only a tip of the iceberg.
There are many, many things to learn out there.
Treat trading as a
business and it will give us return as a business. Treat trading as a
hobby and it will give us return as a hobby. Treat trading as a gambling
and we will lose as a gambler.
With that mind
set, let’s begin our journey of understanding option trading.
